Terms & Conditions

The following terms and conditions relate to all bookings made with the Company through this website or through Lizard Island Resort’s website.

1. The meaning of some words used in these terms and conditions:
‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’
is a reference to The House trading as (The House on Lizard Island);

‘you’ or ‘your’
is a reference to the person to whom we are providing our Services and who is required to pay for the Services we provide;

‘Booking’
means the booking of The House and/or The Cottage or other services provided to you by us;

‘The House’
means the residence in respect of which your Booking is made;

‘Parties’
is a reference to both us and you; and

‘Website’
means our website 


2. Entering into a legally binding contract
A contract between you and us will come into being once we have accepted your Booking and sent you an email or any other form of communication confirming such acceptance (“Booking Confirmation”).


3. Price and payment

3.1 The amount shown on our Website at the time you make your Booking and that is set out in our Booking Confirmation is the amount you will be charged when you check in to The House.

3.2 When making your Booking you must give details of a current, valid credit or debit card. If you are using an American Express card, a PIN number will be required.

3.3 We will also take details of a current, valid credit or debit card (or PIN number if you are using an American Express card) when you check into The House which we reserve the right to charge on any failure to pay on your part. This card may be the same or a different one to that used when making your Booking and mentioned above.

3.4 The House rates may increase from time to time. All prices are quoted in AUD and include 10% GST. 

3.5 Minimum night stay. A minimum three (3) night stay.  

3.6 Festive Season minimum night stay. A minimum seven (7) night stay applies to bookings incorporating Festive Season (21 December 2022 - 7 January).


4. Cancellation by you

4.1 If you wish to cancel or amend your Booking you must do so by sending us an email or by telephoning direct. Please note cancellations or amendments are not permitted on any ADVANCED PURCHASE Bookings as a full, non-refundable deposit is taken at the time of booking.

4.2 Cancellations or amendments to your Booking must be made by 30 days ahead of arrival to avoid a cancellation charge. Cancelation after this time may result in a 100% charge of the total amount owed.
